About Us

The Lemma and Dr Guenet Foundation is a nonprofit community development organization that supports children, families, and vulnerable populations in Ethiopia through education, healthcare, clean drinking water, and empowerment initiatives. Our team collaborates with local partners to provide compassionate outreach and long-term solutions. From scholarships and free medical clinics to water access projects and skills training, our programs aim to foster equity, resilience, and hope. We believe in building a future where everyone has the tools and opportunities to thrive.

Mission Statement

The Lemma and Guenet Foundation is built on a deep belief in the power of service and compassion. Founded in Cleveland, Ohio, by Lemma and Dr. Guenet, the foundation works to improve lives by expanding access to clean water and quality education—especially in underserved communities in Harar and western Ethiopia.

Our mission is simple: to give back, lift others, and help communities grow. Whether we are building computer labs for students or supporting clean water projects, everything we do is guided by one core belief:
